The 2008 NY NJ Leadership Conference was attended by 120 SCORE volunteers and guests representing over 35 chapters in NY, NJ and PA. Held during National Volunteer Recognition Week, the conference started with an inspiring presentation by Michele Phillips motivating everyone to raise our efforts by at least one degree.
The conference had three areas of concentration: Marketing, Membership and Money. The objective of the conference was to have all the participants develop Action Steps that could be used by all SCORE chapters using the latest concepts for:
MARKETING Attracting clients, counselors and enhancing SCORE’s image |
|
MEMBERSHIP Recruiting + Training = Chapter Quality |
|
MONEY Developing resources to implement Marketing, Membership Action Steps as well as Chapter operational needs |
|
To accomplish the conference objectives, all participants were assigned to different virtual chapters, who after presentations by panels of experts and experienced SCORE counselors, developed action steps for each of the areas of the conferences concentration: Marketing, Membership and Money.
Action Steps for Marketing, Membership and Money developed at the conference.
The Conference also featured David Dickson, SBA’s Philadelphia District Director and the
